Where we work
Henley-on-Thames, Sonning Common and the villages around them.
Silver Stag is a local firm, not a franchise with a national map. We work within a comfortable radius of Sonning Common, so James can come out for a proper look and still be on site while your job runs. These eight places are the ones our own project galleries are named after — if you are nearby and not on the list, just ask.
Sonning Common
Home. The registered office is on Blackmore Lane, so a site visit here is a five-minute job rather than a diary exercise.
Henley-on-Thames
Our main patch. Period and inter-war houses, conservation-area constraints, and back gardens that make access the first thing we look at.
Caversham
Victorian and 1930s semis where a rear or side-return extension and a knock-through transform the ground floor.
Emmer Green
Post-war family houses with room to extend at the back and, often, in the roof as well.
Gallowstree Common
Village property on the common — extensions that have to sit quietly against existing brick and tile.
Kingwood Common
Larger plots and lane access, where groundworks and deliveries need planning before anything else.
Peppard Common
Common-edge houses and cottages, usually with older fabric behind the plaster than the drawings suggest.
Watlington
The far edge of our patch, under the Chilterns — renovations and extensions on older village property.
Just outside?
Ask, and you will get a straight answer.
We would rather say “that is too far for us to run properly” than take a job we cannot service well. If a project sits a little outside the list and it is worth the journey, we are glad to travel for it — but you will hear the honest version either way.
